Malti B Lee is a British Indian artist that paints expressively bright floral and architectural paintings. Having ties to Europe and South Asia, Malti explains her motivation: “I explore my passion to travel through my art - I love transporting my audience on this journey to some of my favourite places with me.”⁠

Malti begins a new painting by deciding on a city scene or building to highlight and a mood to focus on. “I start by layering acrylic paints with palette knives and brushes to create a vivid and rhythmic abstract background. Using paint pens, I draw in my chosen architectural details before adding in expressive flowers.” As a world traveler, Malti explains: “every place depicted in my work is somewhere that I know and love - there's a story behind each piece!” Malti works from an extensive collection of photographs from her travels as references for her work. ⁠⁠

Malti’s work was displayed at  Hunt and Gather for their “NATIVE” Fall Art Show in October 2022 and also for “More the Merrier” show curated by Art Ark Gallery in San Jose.
